The hospitals doctors and medical staff said they entertained him for the last time, the statement said. He remained jovial and was determined to live fully through two years of treatment in two continents. Family, friends, food and movies remained his focus and everyone he met during this time was amazed that he had overcome his illness How not to let it happen. Better than that.
He was grateful for the love of his fans, who came from all over the world. After his demise, they will all understand that he should be remembered with a smile and not with tears, the statement said. The statement also urged his fans and wellwishers to respect Indias current lockdown restrictions, saying: There will be no way for them.

Born in the first family of Hindi cinema, Rishi Kapoor was the son of a man whom India calls the showman, Raj Kapoor and grandson of the famous Prithviraj Kapoor. Rishi was Raj's second son and siblings of Randhir, Ritu Nanda, Reema Jain and Rajiv Kapoor.
He started his career as a child artist in his father's film Mera Naam Joker (1970), for which he also won the Filmfare Award. Her first role as an adult was opposite Dimple Kapadia in the iconic Bobby (1973). He also received the Filmfare Best Actor Award in 1974 for this film.
