Marriage Lily Allen and Stranger Things star David Harbour 'tie the knot' after year of dating

The singer, 35, and Stranger Things actor, 45, have been dating since last summer, and Allen has been pictured wearing a diamond engagement ring since April.

The 35-year-old singer tied the knot with David Harbour at the celebrity-friendly Graceland Wedding Chapel on Monday using her previous married name, Lily Cooper.

Now it appears they may have taken the next step in their relationship, marrying in a small ceremony led by an Elvis impersonator, according to The Sun.

The couple obtained their wedding licence, which is part of public records, on Monday 7 September, as reported by US entertainment.

Allen appears to have used her previous married name - Lily Cooper - for the registration.

This led to some early reports that the couple had applied for the licence, but not yet completed the ceremony.

The small event is listed as having taken place at the Graceland Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas Boulevard, Nevada.

The ceremony was carried out by Brendan Paul, owner of the chapel and one of the most famous Elvis impersonators in Sin City.

Lily's first marriage - to builder and decorator Sam Cooper - was a very different affair.

The pair married at St James' Church in Cranham, Gloucester in the summer of 2011, with the pair welcoming their second child Marnie Rose later that year.

Guests at Lily’s do at the chapel, which can seat about 30 people, would have had to wear facemasks but the singer and David did not.

There were four other weddings at the chapel on Monday when Lily tied the knot, including one that was Hawaiian themed which featured a hula dancer and Brendan singing as Elvis.

David and Lily first revealed they were a couple on a night out to the theatre in London in August 2019 - months after he split from Alison Sudol.

She confirmed things were serious at the after-party for an edition of Saturday Night Live he had posted, posting a shot of his bulging bicep, writing: "Mine."

Actor David shot to fame on Stranger Things as Jim Hopper but has also had roles on Brokeback Mountain, Bond film Quantum of Solace and superhero film Hellboy.

The Graceland Wedding Chapel has a long history of celebrity weddings.

Rocker Jon Bon Jovi married Dorothea in a late-night ceremony there using his real name, John Bongiovi in 1989. The couple, who are still together, went on to have four kids.

Billy Ray Cyrus and actress Andy McDowell have since renewed their vows.

Other celebrities who visited the chapel include Johnny Depp, Jay Leno and Leslie Mann.

It also appeared in the film Fools Rush, starring Matthew Perry and Salma Hayek.

All wedding ceremonies have been filmed for couples and also so that loved ones can see the ceremony live.

Previous celebrities to have wed or renewed vows at the chapel include Jon Bon Jovi, Billy Ray Cyrus, and Four Weddings And A Funeral actress Andie McDowell.

Allen and Harbour have kept their relationship relatively low profile so far, appearing at several events together and sharing photos on each other's social media.

When a fan questioned Allen about the large ring on her finger earlier this year, she cryptically answered: "First rule of engagement club…"

Allen has spent lockdown with Harbour and her two daughters, Ethel-Mary, nine, and Marnie-Rose, seven, from her previous marriage.

They recently holidayed in Croatia together, with Allen calling it a "trip of a lifetime".

Allen and Sam Cooper separated in 2015 after four years of marriage, divorcing in 2018.
