Kannada star Chiranjeevi Sarja died on Sunday in a hospital in Bengaluru after suffering a heart attack. He was 39 years old. Condoling his death, South star Allu Sirish wrote on Twitter, Condolences on the sudden demise of Kannada actor Chiranjeevi Sarja. He is just 39 years old. My condolences to the Sarja family. “The family members who wheeled him into the hospital said the patient had suffered convulsions on Saturday and they had consulted a doctor. However, it worsened and he suffered breathlessness in his sleep Saturday night. He was brought in an unresponsive state to the hospital at 2:18 p.m. All efforts to resuscitate him failed and he was declared dead,” Dr. G. Govindaiah Yatheesh, unit head, Apollo Speciality Hospital, Jayanagar, told The Hindu.

Former Indian cricketer Anil Kumble also shared his condolences on Twitter. He wrote, Deeply saddened and shocked to hear of the death of Chiranjeevi Sarja. A youth left very soon. Condolences to his family and friends.

According to news reports, the actor was facing breathing issues before being admitted to a hospital in Bengaluru. However, the actor suffered a heart attack shortly after and died in the hospital.

Sarja made his film debut in the Kannada industry with ‘Vayuputra’ in 2009, where he played the lead. He went on to act in more than 20 movies, including ‘Chiru’, ‘Chandralekha’, ‘Aatagara’, ‘Bharjari’, ‘Seizer’, ‘Amma I Love You’, ‘Singga’, and more.

Chiranjeevi has starred in films such as Samhaara, Aadyaa, Khaki, Sinnga, Amma I Love You, Prema Baraha, Dandam Dashagunam, Varadhanayaka and Vayuputra among others. He was last seen in the Kannada action-drama Shivarjuna.
